USA – Council on American-Islamic Relations condemns worshipers massacre in New Zealand

The Council on American-Islamic Relations held a press conference to condemn the heinous crime against two mosques in New Zealand. The conference was participated in by a number of civil society leaders from various ethnic, religious and racial backgrounds. The participants called on the political officials in the US and abroad to condemn racism and hatred against minorities in the world. They also called on US president Donald Trump to take countermeasures regarding racism against Muslims and Islam. The Council considered Trump’s racist statements against Islam to act as a green light for hate groups that target Muslims with violence.
