Libya – Celebrating the 8th anniversary of 17 February Revolution despite political rifts

Thousands of Libyans celebrated in Hay Al-Andalus in Libya’s capital Tripoli the 8^th anniversary of 17 February Revolution, which led to the fall of the regime of Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi. Celebrants raised the Libyan and Amazigh flags amidst songs and national anthems performed by Libyan artists. Although 8 years have passed since the revolution, Libya is still going through political and military rifts that exacerbate the country’s economic and social suffering.
