Palestine – Islamic Jihad: building a wall along the security fence indicates Israeli’s fear of resistance escalation

The spokesman for the Islamic Jihad movement, Mus’ab al-Barim, said that building a wall along the security fence with the besieged Gaza Strip is an indication of Israel’s concerns about failing in the face of the Palestinian resistance, in addition to their inability to end the return marches. For his part, Mahmoud Khalaf, member of the return marches committee, said that placing thorny wires and building walls will not stop the Palestinian people from staging peaceful return marches. Political analyst, Talal Okal, believes that the wall will turn Gaza into an actual prison and will separate it from the West Bank. It is worth mentioning that Israel has started building the upper part of the wall along the security fence with the Gaza Strip after completing its underground construction. The wall is scheduled to be ready by the end of this year, and it will be 65 km long and six meters tall.
