Libya – Press conference on enhancing partnership between UNDP and Libyan government

A press conference was held in the Libya’s Tripoli between Taher Jahimi, the Planning Minister of the Government of National Accord, and Maria Ribeiro, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Libya, coinciding with the 8th assembly of the Board of Directors of the Stabilization Fund in Libya, which assembles the Fund’s international partners and the Libyan Government. The two parties of the conference discussed the stabilization fund’s new strategy for next year, and ways to enhance partnership with the international community to reinforce the Libyan government, municipalities, young people and women. They also went over the service projects that were achieved in cooperation with UNDP in several municipalities, which would be a contributing factor in establishing stability in Libya.
