Syria – Corpses continue to be exhumed from the Panorama Cemetery in Raqqa

Panorama cemetery is one of the largest mass graves in Raqqa, and up till this moment, around 340 corpses has been exhumed from it, mostly corpses of ISIS members. Based on the medical examinations performed on the corpses, the forensic pathologists in the initial response team confirmed that most of the exhumed corpses belong to ISIS members from several nationalities from Europe, Africa and the Near East. Other corpses that belong to civilians, children and women were also found, and the team is documenting the bodies, the type of injury and cause of death.
