Yemen – “Women of Taiz for Life” initiative seeks to open a humanitarian passage in Taiz

The people of Taiz continue to suffer as the city’s ports continue to be closed due to the the battles and siege enforced by the Houthis for almost four years. Citizens are forced to take alternative roads that are long and rugged in order to reach the city. As part of the initiative “Women of Taiz for Life “, a number of women from the city attempted to open a humanitarian passage by making a deal with the parties to the conflict to make it easier for civilians to enter and exit from the city.
