Palestine – A March in Gaza in solidarity with the Lebanese detainee George Abdullah in French prisons

Dozens of supporters and members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) carried out a demonstration on Monday in central Gaza in solidarity with the Lebanese detainee George Abdullah. The demonstrators assembled in front of the French Cultural Center in Gaza, and called on France to disclose Abdullah’s fate who finished his sentence in French prisons but never has been released. For his part, Allam al-Ka’abi, member of the Central Committee who is in charge of the prisoners file in the Popular Front, demanded that the French government release Abdullah as stated by the French court’s decision, confirming that the French authorities declined to release him even though he finished his sentence under pressure from the Zionist lobby. He also said that keeping Abdullah held is incompatible with international norms and human rights.
