Palestine – Gaza’s fishermen suffer due to the Israeli decision to reduce the fishing area
Gaza-Palestine 14/10/2018
The problem of reducing the fishing area in the Gaza Strip is not new. In recent years, Israeli forces have tightened their grip on fishermen by reducing sea fishing areas, although they expanded it to 9 miles in last April, but a few days ago they decided to reduce the area to six miles on the coast of the Gaza Strip because of the recent events on the border of the Strip. According to fishermen, this area does is not enough for making livelihood under the difficult conditions experienced by the sector, and the decision will lead to an increase in poverty and unemployment among fishermen.
