Libya – Armed clashes have left the suburbs of Tripoli devastated

A number of houses and shops were totally and partially destroyed by the clashes that broke out recently between the rival battalions in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, specifically in the areas of Al-Khala and Souk Al-Jumah. The lighting poles and electricity networks were severely damaged during the clashes, which caused longer power outages. The clashes also damaged a number of streets because of the indiscriminate shelling.
