Syria – Kurdish political authority rejects Assad’s threats and confirms its readiness for dialogue

The political authority in the north of Syria expressed its readiness to negotiate with all Syrians on the basis of democratic governance and recognition of the other to preserve the unity of the Syrian territories. They also rejected the threat approach as a policy that is not useful at the moment, but rather prolonging the Syrian crisis. This comes after controversial statements by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, in which he vowed to resort to force to restore areas of control of Syria’s democratic forces in northern Syria.
