Yemen – Lack of treatment threatens the lives of children with kidney failure

The child Mariam from Taiz is an 11 years old suffering from renal failure, the last stage of renal disease. For the past 10 months ago, the child along many others have been waiting on the doors of artificial kidney center in Thawra General Hospital in Taiz to receive proper treatment. This matter put the renal patients of children, elderly and women at risk of death amid demands from concerned authorities, organizations and government to treat patients with compassion. In a related context, the International Committee of the Red Cross warned yesterday of a complete collapse of the health situation of patients with kidney failure during a press conference held in Aden.
