Yemen – The Yemeni crisis overburdens patients and increases their pain

The war continues in Yemen, which increases the suffering of civilians as they face siege, injustice and diseases without any mercy for their shabby condition. “Abdul Hakim Hassan,” a citizen in Taiz, is one of the patients who spent a lot to receive treatment but to no avail. Illness forced him to stay in bed since four years, his house is dilapidated and he unable to support his wife and four children. The journey of searching for treatment between bankruptcy and hope have made the family poor after he lost his home due to being unable to pay up for the mortgage, and now he is a tenant in his own house. The need for treatment and for supporting his family, as well as the war, have overburdened him.
