Palestine – The people of Gaza celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Palestinian prisoner’s day

While human rights reports indicate that around 1 million Palestinians have been subjected to detention by the Israeli authorities since the establishment of the State of Israel, thousands of people of the Gaza Strip participated in commemorating the 44th anniversary of the Palestinian prisoner’s day on April 17 of each year, in solidarity with their families in Israeli jails. They demanded that all concerned human rights organizations and the Security Council stand up and unite with their families. The participants also held banners reading “Freedom for the prisoners” and “we will not forget our prisoners.”
