Libya – Lack of potential weakens health services in Benghazi
The effects of the war in Benghazi are still present. Four major hospitals inside the city have lost more than 3,000 treatment beds and 130 other ICU beds. Not to mention the destruction of supply stores which has caused millions of dollars in losses, and therefore difficulty in providing medicines? After a number of hospitals became out of service, other hospitals have been unable to cover the large number of patients both inside and outside the city because of the lack of potential in the health sector which prevents the provision of appropriate medical services to citizens who have appealed to the interim prime minister and officials to pay attention to this matter as it’s important and could negatively affect them.
