Libya – Landmine warning signs in Benghazi

The emergency operations room in the municipality of Benghazi started to place warning signs of mines and war remnants in some areas of the city which witnessed violent clashes between the Libyan army forces and ISIS members. The military engineering department began working in coordination with the municipality to identify the places where mines and remnants of missiles are likely to be located, and started placing warning signs in those places in order to draw the attention of the citizens and ensure their safety, despite the limited capabilities and lack of mine detection equipment.
