Tunisia – Death penalty between support and opposition in Tunisia

Tunisian society is witnessing an unprecedented spread of crime, especially murders preceded by rape or torture, which caused a number of Tunisians to demand the death penalty which has not been applied in Tunisia since 1991. On the other hand, human rights organizations called for cancelling the death penalty and replacing it with other punishment.
