Syria – Elections for neighborhood councils begin in Qamishli

Kurdish self-government began its first steps to consolidate the federal system in northern Syria, where citizens from all components in the city of Qamishli in rural Hasakah went to the polls yesterday to elect their representatives in the neighborhood councils.
