The siege and blocking of crossings led to increased prices of medicine and cosmetics in Gaza along with poverty unemployment pushing the people towards the herbal medicine and herbal cosmetics.

Herbs profession almost disappeared but started thriving again as people escaped chemicals with side effects with herbs and natural medicine after its success in treating incurable diseases. This caused a revolution to return to nature reaching the women who are now looking into natural components for cosmetic purposes.
