Syria – Political recognition is a challenge facing the Democratic Council of Syria.
Qamishli – Syria 23/7/2017
The Syrian Democratic Council which is the political wing of Syria’s democratic forces is facing numerous challenges to the political recognition of the self-administration ruling the northern regions of Syria. The forces have been able to control large areas of northern Syria after fierce battles with ISIS organization to liberate Raqqa, the organization’s stronghold. The majority of the international forces are convinced that self-administration has been able to achieve important steps in the field of democratization and the creation of security stability in the areas they control and they formed participatory management divided among all components of the region.
