The craft of engraving on copper and manufacturing traditional brass ware in Tunisia is one of the oldest crafts dating back to the Hafsid era in the 13th century, especially in the ancient city of Tunis, which is famous for the copper market or what is known as the Saffarin market after the colors of copper vessels. Every house in Tunisia has copper pots and utensils for cooking and washing.
