“There are several suspicions and accusations regarding Hamadi Jebali and those with him. Jebali should be held accountable for his wrongdoings according the judicial system without any special treatment, same as any other citizen in Tunisia. Him and all those who betrayed Tunisia should pay for the damage they inflicted. Jebali is suspected of murder, money laundering, and making explosives. He should be prosecuted and justice should be served.”

– Soundbite (Altaher – Tunisian citizen):

“What happened was expected, even if a little late. The important thing is that Jebali was finally arrested. During his reign, there were several political assassinations. I believe the judicial system took a brave step in this arrest that will surely help reveal several major issues.”

– Soundbite (Ibrahim – Tunisian citizen):

“Jebali  assassinations, financial corruption, money laundering, and others. The current president is a law professor, who will not authorize to arrest anyone unless after he studies the case, and makes sure there is proof of conviction. Only then can he be arrested and prosecuted, whether in civilian or military court. Accountability, that is the urgent demand of all Tunisians.”

Soundbite (Omar – Tunisian citizen):

“Authorities should reveal all the details to us about Jebali’s arrest and charges. We are sick of mysterious cases where he is arrested and then released. If judges and others are involved, they should confess and reveal the truth to all of Tunisia.”
