Under the motto “Jerusalem is our meeting point”, the second conference of Palestinians abroad took off in Istanbul. More than a thousand Palestinians from 50 countries around the globe participated in the 2022 conference. During the 3-day event, participants discussed the mechanism for representing Palestinians abroad to raise their voices and take part in the political decision about The Palestinian cause. A festival, photo gallery, and paintings embodying Palestinian people suffering are the main features of the conference. “The Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad”, now based in Beirut, was first launched in Turkey in February 2017, by 6 thousand Palestine nationals from all over the world. According to the statistics of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) released in 2019, the total number of Palestinian refugees around the world is 5.6 million.
