Storyline:
Under the “Art for Rights” initiative, the LGBTIK Central NGO organized an art exhibition called “QUEER ARTIST” for LGBTIC artists with the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Goethe Institute. A total of 21 artists are participating in the exhibition with their works that express the voice of human rights and equality and raise awareness of LGBT issues. The works on display at the exhibition include video art, photography, and works of art.

“The highlight of the exhibition is that for the first time in Mongolia, LGBTQI artists are joining the exhibition. The exhibition aims to raise awareness of LGBTQI issues, human rights and gender issues, and stereotypes, which are very difficult to talk about. On the other hand, the aim was to introduce these artists to each other and create a union. As a result, artists will be able to work together in the future.”

“I participated in this exhibition with a video artist Maral. Maral came up with the general art idea for my work, and I collaborated. The main idea of this work is to show that people do not exist as they appear. In addition, I am participating in this exhibition with my photo collages. Speaking of these individual works. Most importantly, I live in the same space with people, but I always feel like I’m not part of that space. I tried to express that feeling. And I have to box myself in and be accepted by society as a “Queer” woman. On the other hand, it seeks to convey to people the feelings that are felt to be acceptable to others, such as over-the-counter products. On the other hand, like a product sold on a store shelf, it feels like someone has to like and accept it in some way. I wanted to tell people how I felt.”
