Storyline:
In a press conference, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the conclusion of the combing operations in Al-Sinaa Prison, the Ghweran neighborhood, Hasaka, and the end of the remaining places in which ISIS fighters were holed up.
The leader of the SDF, Nowruz Ahmed, said that ISIS brutally executed 77 people working in the prison, while 40 fighters of the Kurdish forces, in addition to 4 citizens were killed in the seven-day clashes outside the prison.
She pointed out that the death toll of the prison break-in operation since its inception is 374 members of “ISIS” and 121 fighters from the Kurdish forces and prison staff.
The SDF leadership stated that some ISIS fighters came from neighboring countries and planned the operation months ago, warning of the dangerous conditions in other camps that have ISIS elements, such as al-Hawl, and the possibility of reoccurrence of what happened in al-Sinaa prison.
Many countries called for the return of their citizens, or the formation of an international court to expedite the trial and prosecution of ISIS members.
In response to the issue of children of ISIS, Mahmoud Barkhdan, a member of the leadership, said that they are no longer children after three years of their arrest, as they are over 18 years old now, so their fate is linked to the fate of ISIS detainees as a whole, and they will face the same fate of ISIS detainees.

(SOUNDBITE) Newroz Ahmed – a member of the General Command of SDF:
“Undoubtedly, the attack launched by the terrorist organization ISIS wasn’t ordinary, it is a broad previously prepared plan. According to the seized documents, and the confessions of the attacking mercenary officials; It turns out that if their attack on the industrial prison in Hasaka had succeeded, they would have launched attacks on other neighborhoods in Hasaka as well, and simultaneously they would have launched attacks on the areas of al-Hawl, Shadada, and Deir Ez-Zor. This attack demonstrated the need to search for radical solutions to the presence of mercenary families within the “Al-Hol Camp,” a camp that has become a time bomb from which the safety valve has been removed. It also raised again the issue of expediting the trial and prosecution of ISIS terrorists, by forming the basis of an international court. The longer there is a delay in finding solutions to these issues and issues and implementing them on the ground, the more the terrorist organization “ISIS” will benefit from them. The longer there is a delay in finding solutions to these issues and implementing them, the more the terrorist organization “ISIS” will benefit from them. Within the framework of the People’s Hammer Campaign, and in areas such as Deir Ez-Zor and Raqqa, local combing operations are continuing, and at specific areas and in those areas more broadly, against the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS and its sleeper cells. The mercenaries of the terrorist organization ISIS, in prison, brutally executed 77 employees of prison and guards. In the overall outcome of the People’s Hammer Campaign, 121 of our fighters and prison workers, heroically, were martyred. We remember all our martyrs. The number of dead ISIS terrorists along with the attackers reached 374.”

“About children of ISIS, we do not consider them children now, we arrested them in 2019 they were around 16-17 years old, and now after 3 years, these children are no longer children, they can take up arms and engage in clashes, so their fate is linked to the fate of ISIS detainees as a whole, and they will face the same fate as ISIS detainees.”
