In an effort to promote and advance the local literature and art, the Kurdish Intellectuals Union in Northeast Syria is holding an art and literature event every Wednesday. Under the name ‘the Cultural Wednesday” the event was interspersed with poetry reading, live music, and forums to discuss social issues. Representatives of intellectual unions in Northeast Syria often attend these events. Today’s event hosts a poetry reading in both Arabic and Kurdish languages by 4 poets from the region
