The first meeting between the new Tunisian government and the Tunisian General Labor Union drew attention to a series of reactions following the meeting in which Prime Minister Najla Boudin emphasized that the dialogue with the labor organization must be characterized by honesty and frankness to establish a participatory work between the two parties and to move steadily towards fundamental reforms and fulfill the Tunisians’ demands. For his part, the Union’s Secretary-General, Noureddine Taboubi, stated that the first meeting between the government delegation and the executive office of the labor union was genuine and an opportunity to raise some social and economic files, highlighting the government’s strong will to move forward in resolving all remaining issues.
