Tunisia- Ennahda Party Clarifies the Truth Behind Compensations for the Former Rule Tyranny’s Victims

Ennahda party held a press conference to address the controversy and the accusations the party has been involved in regarding demands by the Head of Ennahda Shura Council’s for financial compensations for tyranny victims of President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali’s rule. The majority party illustrated that its foremost concern is encountering the Coronavirus pandemic which is part of its patriotic and humanitarian duty. Moreover, it added that in terms of the Karama fund, the party reiterated that compensation is its right but the country’s pressing dilemma is far more important than partial rights
