Turkey – Commemorating the Fifth Anniversary of the Coup Attempt in Istanbul

Turkey commemorated the fifth anniversary of the failed coup attempt that occurred on July 15, 2016. The local authorities in Istanbul held various outdoor exhibitions of influential images of the coup attempt embodying the Turkish people’s response to the coup. The Turkish president participated in the commemoration activities in the capital, Ankara,  He said that the failure of the July 15 coup attempt, is the title of the victory of truth over falsehood and justice over injustice, and the coup attempt was met with massive popular protests in most Turkish cities and states, forcing the putschists to withdraw their military vehicles from the cities, and the end of that attempt after an invitation from the Turkish President  .
