Tunisia – Criticism after the Ennahda movement called for the formation of a new government

32

Ennahda’s Shura Council issued a statement calling for the formation of a “strong” political government in the next stage, capable of dealing with present challenges and bearing its responsibility before the people. The movement believed that the solution to the political, economic, social, financial, and health crises in the country is to form a government in consultation with other political parties. The movement’s call was criticized by several parliamentary blocs, who considered that the time was not appropriate to talk about a cabinet reshuffle amid a severe health crisis.
