Palestine: 28th Palestinian Day of Independence

Various Palestinian factions in Gaza celebrated 28 years since Palestine was declared independent on 15 November 1988. Gaza, which has been governed by Hamas since 2006 as a result of free election in the same year, has been placed under an Israeli and US-led international economic and political boycott from that time onwards.
