Tunisia – Tunisia’s harvest season begins amid anticipation of low production
The harvest season began in Tunisia amid anticipation of lower crop returns this year, especially since the season started with issues. The Agriculture Union and the Ministry of Agriculture described the current season’s crops as mediocre, while official figures showed that crops are expected to increase by 10% compared to the previous season, whereas the Agriculture Union estimates crops to generally range between 8 and 10 million quintals; meanwhile, the Tunisian stockpile capacity ranged from 5.8 million tons to 15 million tons.
