Syria – The Syrian opposition holds a conference to confront Iranian and ISIS expansion

Under the slogan “Our Unity Is Our Strength”, the Syrian Tribes and Clans Council held its fourth congress in Hawar Kilis village, eastern Azaz city, northern Syria, with the attendance of the Syrian Interim Government and the Syrian National Opposition Coalition headed by Nasr Hariri, and several Syrian military leaders and political figures. The congress called for confronting the Iranian intervention and the Shiite expansion in Syria, as well as uniting against the organization, whereas the Minister of Defense in the Syrian Interim Government, Salim Idris, stated that the congress, attended by around 9,000 people, warned of Iran’s criminality in Syria and its persistent pursuit of demographic changes in the country.
