Yemen – The residents of Al-Jahmiliya return to their homes which are destroyed by the Houthi militia 25.05.2021
Residents of Al-Jahmiliya neighborhood in Taiz, southern Yemen, started to return to their ruined houses, which had been bombed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, turning it into a ghost town, after it was populated with people and a model of social coexistence until the militias forced many families there to displace to other areas in Yemen. Residents of the neighborhood say, “We fled the Houthi bombing but the harsh circumstances that we faced forced us to return and live in homes even when they were destroyed, especially with government forces dominating large parts of the city and the return of calm in the city.”
