Syria – Agricultural degradation foreshadows disaster in northern and eastern Syria

Northern and eastern Syria encounters an upcoming humanitarian crisis due to the agricultural degradation this year as a lack of sufficient rainfall on most of the rainfed areas. The area mainly depends on agriculture like wheat, barley, and legumes, all are threatened with drought, and this threat does not stop to this extent, livestock was also affected by insufficient cultivated areas to secure fodder.
