Tunisia – A vigil in solidarity with the Palestinian cause before the Tunisian Parliament

Hundreds of civil society representatives gathered in front of the Tunisian Parliament in a vigil in solidarity with the Palestinian cause, and to condemn the attacks and aggression against the Palestinians. The protesters called on Parliament to speed up the ratification of a law criminalizing normalization with Israel. The vigil was interrupted by altercations and jostling between the protesters and the Tunisian security forces, who tried to push the demonstrators away from the main gate of Parliament.
