Syria- The Autonomous Administration Warns of an Imminent Humanitarian Catastrophe As Hospitals Reach Full Capacity.
The health authority in the Kurdish-led autonomous administration in northeast Syria warned that an imminent health catastrophe is looming, given the high number of Covid-19 cases. The co-chair of the Health Authority, Joan Mustafa illustrated, during a press conference that hospitals and centers reached full capacity after the second wave of the virus swept the region. She added that because the health authority failed to halt the spread of the virus, they imposed a curfew on all the areas under its grip. It is worth mentioning that the number of reported cases in eastern and western Syria reached 12236, while the death toll is 422, and 1365 recoveries
