Syria- Asayish Thwarts an Unprecedented Drug and Weapon Smuggling Attempt in North Syria
The Internal Security Forces “Asayish” thwarted an unprecedented drug smuggling attempt. Five dealers of this smuggling network, who operated in the autonomous administration region, were arrested. This operation is part of a campaign launched by Asayish, under the name of ” Life is responsibility” that aims at bringing stability and security. During which 196,000 Captagon drug pills were confiscated along with 474 hashish pills, and more than 11,000 counterfeit US dollars, in addition to various types of weapons, ammunition, snipers, and hunting rifles. Ali Al-Hassan, the spokesman for the Kurdish-led internal security forces, illustrated that they won’t cease until wiping out all drugs and weapons’ traffickers while implying that such operation is as crucial as the war against terrorism
