Syria – The reconstruction encourages the residents of Raqqa to return to their homes
The Raqqa city witnessed a surge in urban activity following its liberation from ISIS, contributing significantly to the city’s reconstruction, over the last two years, which has been one of the primary reasons for residents and people to return. According to the Civil Council in Raqqa, the percentage of reconstruction in the city has reached 20%, after the destruction of the war against ISIS formed 80%. On the other hand, residents of Raqqa and its countryside continue to live in destroyed homes or camps as they can’t afford to reconstruct their homes.
