Palestine: A Man in A wheelchair Runs a Workshop for Handicrafts

Jalal Abu Hayya, a civil defense worker, who was wounded while on duty, was forced into looking for another job to make a living. Despite suffering from Hemiplegia, he started to work in carving and handicrafts. He mastered carving and designing wooden pestles, cooking pans, and wooden desks. Given his disability, he invented a handicap scooter by using scrap so he can go with his son to buy from the grocery. Abu Hayya pointed out that he is proud of his accomplishment, especially in light of his disability, as he added that he aspires to receive assistance from the concerned authorities
