Palestine – Gaza holds a celebration entitled “Foreigner in my Home” marking International Theater Day
Marking the Battle of Karameh and the International Theater Day, the “Rashad Shawa Cultural Center” in Gaza has hosted an event entitled “Foreigner in my Home”. The Representative of the Palestinian Culture and Arts Committee, Jamal Salem, stated that this title and idea were chosen to illustrate the story and struggle of youth who have lost hope in a decent life in their country, and their dream has become to emigrate abroad. The ceremony contained many artistic and theatrical sketches and folklore, that embodied the life and the misery of youth abroad, highlighting the actual purpose that pushes young people to think of emigration which is the Israeli siege imposed on the Strip, as well as the Palestinian division, which eliminated the dreams of every person.
