Cambodia – Royal Government Spokesman: the suspension of military exercise with China is not a political decision, but due to the Corona pandemic

Delegate Minister attached to Prime Minister and Royal Government Spokesman, Dr. SiphanPhay, stated, in an exclusive interview conducted by A24 News Agency, that the government’s recent decision to suspend its military exercise with China is not political, but due to Corona pandemic and adherence to the social distancing instructions, pointing out that Cambodia does not belong to China nor the United States and it will not allow any country to use its territory as a military base. He also said that the decision to suspend joint military exercises with China has nothing to do with the elections of Joe Biden to the presidency of the United States and that his country respects the desire of American voters, adding that Cambodia’s foreign policy is to adhere to neutrality and cooperation with all countries to make peace and stability in the world.
