Syria- ISIS Resurges in Syrian Eastern Regions

Throughout the last month, ISIS waged a flurry of bloody attacks on Eastern Syria and the Syrian Desert against the Syrian army backed by Russian forces. Activists in the political arena confirmed that in light of ISIS members and cells operating in the Syrian Desert, its menace is still looming and that the war against it is an open-ended one. Military observatories reported that Russian aircraft take off from Hmeimim Air Base and launch airstrikes on areas where ISIS is active. Meanwhile, the Syrian regime reinforces its presence with hundreds of soldiers and convoys but to no avail. US experts believe that at least 10 thousand ISIS members still operate in Syria and Iraq. Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, Vladimir Voronkov expressed his apprehension regarding ISIS resurgence that would pose a grave threat
