Lebanon – Experts: Washington’s sanctions imposed on Hezbollah’s allies in Lebanon will leave a significant impact on Hezbollah itself

Experts in Lebanese politics view that the effect of the recent US sanctions on Hezbollah’s allies in the Lebanese authority will be more dramatic than the previous sanctions imposed on Hezbollah’s itself, furthermore, it will uncover the corruption in the Lebanese authority. They pointed out that the penetration of Hezbollah in the Lebanese decision-making via its allies contributed to pulling the country to be under the hegemony of Iran. Reportedly, the US ambassador in Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, revealed that the US will include 22 to 24 Lebanese bodies on the list of Department of the Treasury sanctions.
