Thailand – Demonstrations to demand reform continue in Bangkok
Bangkok, Thailand 03/12/2020
Demonstrations continue in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to demand the reform of the monarchy and the form of a new government and constitution. Yesterday, a lot of demonstrators gathered in Lat Phrao intersection, in Bangkok, to call against the Constitutional Court’s decision of clearing Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of wrongdoing for his occupancy of an army house. The courts ruled that the prime minister did not commit any wrongdoing by staying in a house inside the 1st Infantry Regiment although he retired from the army in 2014. Demonstrations demanded a democratic government that has greater power than the monarchy and permits freedom of expression.
