Syria: As Lockdown took Effect, Residents are Complaining Disastrous Economic Reality

Residents of Qamishli city in northeastern Syria complained about the disastrous economic status quo following the lockdown decision imposed by the crisis Cell in the Democratic Autonomous Administration, in an attempt to combat the spread of the Coronavirus. Daily paid workers were the most affected by the lockdown decision, spurred by the member of the crisis cell, Kanaan Barakat upon directions from the Health Administration. The number of cases soared in Hasaka and Raqqa governorates, which are run by Autonomous Administration.
