Bahraini girl renaissance Association, which is the first women’s association in the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula to preserve the heritage of the profession of embroidery on canvas and its development adopted and established the heritage embroidered knitting project which aims to revive the ancient self-embroidery craft and to the economic development of women.

 

 

 

 

Bahraini girl renaissance Association, which is the first women’s association in the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula was established in 1955 to preserve the heritage of the profession of embroidery on canvas and its development adopted and established the heritage embroidered knitting project in 2002 which aims to revive the ancient self-embroidery craft and to the economic development of women.
The knitting project shows the care of the civil sector to participate in the development by enabling women to be more active in a profession suffering from extinction.
The association tried to revive the profession and prioritize it and encourages girls to exercise the profession.
