Syria – Offices to prevent children under 18 from joining military forces

The social affairs committee has introduced agencies to protect the children of northern Syria. They have launched 9 offices for the receipt of complaints of families and bringing the minor children, who are below 18, back. This came after the committee received many complaints from citizens regarding their children join the military forces including the Internal Security Forces “Asayish”, Syria Democratic Forces, and other Kurdish military forces. The agency is the focal point between the UN and Syria Democratic Forces aiming to prevent children from armed acts, send them back to their normal life, and integrate them with society.
