In spite of the destruction that swept the Syrian lands, people are still ambitious, making out of the ruins and rubbles new dreams and hopes. Raqqa residents used the remains of glass to craft new art pieces in addition to producing Hookah’s water basins, Kerosene lamp, dishes, and glass ashtrays. It is worth mentioning that the Fuels Committee of Raqqa Civil Council is unable to cap the plants’ demand of diesel, not to mention the dilemma of closing borders, and the high prices which is causing a hurdle in production. However, people haven’t given up; instead, they are exporting their products to other Syrian governorates.
