Iraq – After Years Under ISIS Custody, Two Children To Return To Their Family

After the bitterness of longing and numerous attempts to get them back, the two children, Ameer and Ameera, have returned to their family. In 2017, police of Turkey had found two children without any identity. Since then, the parents have been trying to get them back. They had been kidnapped by ISIS in 2014 during their invasion of Sinjar, in Iraq. The children had been sent back from Turkey to Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, after the DNA and blood tests proved their bloodline. They live under the custody of their family now.
