Iraq – Out of Control Armed Factions Gain their Power from Political Parties that Support Them

Iran insists on strengthening its grip on Iraq through establishing central governments, provided that such entities wouldn’t go beyond Iran’s authority.  These groups have entrenched themselves a long time ago and now they have money, weapons and leverage. Analysts indicated that armed groups gain their power from the parties that support them. Therefore, the government should follow certain mechanisms; it should avoid confronting all theses factions at once, as they may lose all their shots. They also underscored the importance of the political dialogue with all political powers that rule these armed groups. Also, they recommended using the containment strategy to control these armed groups.
